When you take care of your down garment properly, it will retain its function for many years.

Always wash the garment separately. Never use fabric softener as it can destroy the down's warming properties.

Turn the garment inside out and make sure to close all zippers. If they are open, there is a risk that they will damage the fabric during washing and drying.

Remove the garment from the machine immediately after washing and tumble dry on low heat with three tennis balls. They help distribute the down in the channels. It is best not to use brand new balls as they can release loose fibres into the garment.

Take the garment out of the dryer a few times and shake it to help distribute the down evenly. It may also be a good idea to turn the garment over during the drying process.

The outer fabric has a durable water repellent (DWR) finish that will cause snow and raindrops to bead off the surface.

The impregnation will last through many washes, but over time it may be a good idea to re-impregnate the garment.
